Edmodo launched professional development (PD) courses for teachers in the state of New York in conjunction with NYPTI.

On May 17, 2017, Edmodo sent an email informing users that it was the victim of a major hack of user information.

Edmodo is very nice, because you dont need to make another account for you just to have another class coz in edmodo you just need to click the join class and yun may added class ka na without abandoning your account.

yeah tama yon but somehow maganda din namang gamitin to since we're in the modern era, halos lahat na ng studyante nagamit ng computer at internet so might as well use that for educational purposes

Yes we can't avoid that but edmodo helps the teacher to obtain the assignments of her students paperless. And also it is not costly. The students don't need to print their assignments. But in giving the quiz the students will cheat because they have a chance to cheat. We can lessen it by making a quiz with fix time limit to answer the question. By this, the students will answer the questions very fast because of the time limit.

For me the disadvantages of Edmodo is you can't able to access when you don't have internet connection. Like here in the Philippines, not all houses have an internet connection. Some students rent in internet cafe to make their assignments.
